| Dispatch from Belfast: Apparently, Rev Ian Paisley (MLA, Democratic Unionist Party) has been praising the performance of Bairbre de Bruin (MLA, Sinn Fein) in the foot-and-mouth crisis. This is the best piece of news on Northern Ireland I've heard in years and leaves me with hope that the ancient Chinese blessing - "May you live in tedious times" - may one day apply here. |
