Theory of Lists

Billy O'Flagherty's most profound contribution to humanity may well turn out to be his Theory of Lists, inspired by the bizarre case of Giuseppe da Vinci. The essence of the theory is that bubbles of impurity in the abstract universe of ideas can be cajoled and whipped into the physical world by sufficiently vigorous list-making. When this occurs, the lists can ultimately yield access to the underlying noumena and thus to the fabric of neoplatonic reality itself.

Controversially, O'Flagherty even goes so far as to claim that Wagnerian opera may one day be made comprehensible through the use of this technique.

O'Flagherty is currently developing an extension of List Theory, known as the Theory of Self-Referential Lists.
