The Way of NLP - Ian McDermott and Joseph O'Connor
Ian McDermott founded the ITS NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) practice in the UK which I think must still be the largest in the country. He is deeply steeped in NLP and - in my experience - is also deeply skilled in conveying the ideas and tools that make up NLP.
If you want a solid overview of the principles and tools of NLP then this book is, I think, a good starting point. However, don't forget that it's practice that makes the art, and reading a book is no substitute for experiential learning! |

I've been recommended this book myself but have only skimmed it as yet. On that basis it looks like a good overview for someone wanting an understanding of how NLP can be added to the toolbox of practicing managers, leaders and indeed anyone within the workplace.
